Flip Mino VS IPhone 4 recording video and audio at band practice.

I made this video to test what the difference in video quality and audio quality would be with the Flip Mino Camcorder versus the Iphone 4. It turns out I was holding my Iphone wrong, but I think you'll still notice the difference. I did no audio adjustments, and uploaded both clips to Youtube without converting them. I then edited them together in the Youtube editor.




In my opinion they both perform great. You may notice, that the video in the Iphone is more saturated, has a higher resolution, but also looks slightly choppier than the video on the Flip Mino. Perhaps there is a frame rate setting for the Iphone. This is with the default setting on the Iphone. The ability for me to edit the Flip Mino's video directly on my windows laptop is a huge benefit. You may also notice that when the room is too loud, the Flip dips the audio level dramatically, while the Iphone tends to handle the loud audio a little better. Still, the frame rate is a big deal. I guess I just love them both.

@stumpythumper Hah. Yep, I wrote that when that Tumor song Come To Daddy was just gaining in popularity. It was sort of a joke, but made it thru to the final edit. Ultimately I would have probably made the whole part a little more complex... but it's all good in the end.
