is there really a kraut crying about white phosphorous and napalm??? What about the crematoriums, gas chambers, and death camps?? Crying about how we handled the nazis is like advocating for poisonous snake treatment. The people of germany knew wtf was goin on. you firebombed London and Coventry. You firebombed Warsaw. You wiped out the city of Lidice. You caused the Holocaust, the biggest murder mill of all time. You raped Soviet Russia. You hanged innocent people. You experimented on and killed children (Mengele). The fucking 3rd Reich Germans were the world's biggest scum and you complain about Dresden.

The images of Dresden are not banned so far as I know, we've acknowledged what we did in Germany, but we were at war. Warsaw in 1939 and 1945 didn't look any better than Dresden I imagine. It's time for us to stop arguing about who did what, the majority of people were not wicked, most simply followed orders. I say let us resolve to work together to see that it never has to happen again.

The germans invented terror bombing in WW I. I feel great pitty for the inocent on all sides who had to die because of the greed of some countries, and the stupidity of others. But I think it is fair to say that the German nation reaped what it sowed. How much more shameful the slaughter of millions of people in cold blood in hidden camps? There were no flak towers, shelters or night fighters to protect them.

I believe absolutely that what the RAF and USAAF did in Germany, the Luftwaffe would have done in allied countries if they had possessed the technology and resources, the Germans were well in the race for a nuclear weapon. luckily the best scientists in Germany had quit the nazi state in the 1930s. Dresden is not a thing to be proud of, but it was an act of war, intended to shorten it. the civilian casualties however pitiable were incidental.
