@punkrockPiE97 Correct he didn't play the bass in the Ramones, but in the tangrine puppets he did, because one of my friends dads was their at the battle of the band, and he verified that Johnny was playing bass.

@Fantapop15 Indubitably.
-
@synthtron2000 John Lennon was nothing ! Johnny Ramone is a ledge
-
@synthtron2000 the beatles were very good songwriters and the stones set the blue print for decadent rock bands.its great to now read/hear that many people think that the beatles and stones have been bettered by the clash and ramones maybe if id been born 10 years early i would disagree
-
@shashwati maybe he did the the booze/drugs thing before the band but he liked to be in control of himself (and others ) to let it take him over

Maybe I left a comment already, a while back, but anyway, thanks for posting these 'Extras', you've done a terrific job

I love this interview!!
Johnny was AWESOME, that's SO COOL that he would do something like that - I mean, throwing Stones (hehe) at the Beatles, that's metaphorically and literally genius!! and yeah, I like the Stones too (but who the hell am I to deny the Beatles' greatness...so I won't)
-
i kinda got the impression from Please Kill Me that Johnny used to sniff glue, smoke pot and shoot stuff - it's kinda not specified in the book, but it's one possible interpretation of what was implied...so i dunno

Man what a time. There's no way you could get away with that today lol
I would give a fortune to see the video of the beatles show with johnny's stones falling at the stage lol

Funny story about the beatles. Supposedly the sex pistols kicked their original bassist out for liking the beatles. Johnny Ramone later became a beatles fan though, he said "they're the only band that changed their sound that didn't suck"
