I uses MAC at school... not too eazy to get used to... and .exes didnt work.

I recently bought Ubuntu Linux on a laptop. It is very similar to Windows, including a "start" menu albeit with a different name.
The problem is that Linux won't run my Dialup software due to being incompatible with many Windows aps.
Plus when I switched to 800x600 mode, I discovered it was impossible to go back to 1280x1024 since the Desktop Properties box was bigger than the screen!
So basically it's non-compatible and non-user friendly.
I'd recommend Mac OS as an alternative, not Linux.

Windows is to Linux as driving a car is to riding a motorcycle. There is a bit of a learning curve, and you cannot just switch from one to another.
to make things short:
don't expect windows executables to work right away, they wont. They were built for WINDOWS. there's a pretty snazzy emulator/compatability layer called WINE that can run many windows programs, but it wont catch everything.
I recommend doing some research and learning for yourself.

I've never actually tryed Linux since I'm used to windows... is it kinda like windows or... well does it support .exes and stuff like steam xfire yatta yatte?

Why are the printed signs cut out and pasted on another piece of paper? Can Linux not print in landscape mode?
