I don't think so because when Clare left Irene then Irene said that Clare doesn't get worried about her because she didn't die or kill so easy.

I don't know how she survived but that statement implicate that she must live. Otherwise the statement is introduced pointless by the mangaka

@Kyuubi92 Both manga and anime did not show to us Irene's death,and I can't help but wonder why.She concealed her youki for so many years,then perhaps she got awesomely strong and managed to survive against Rafaela.I mean,come on she did it once(against Priscilla),why not twice eh?
