  • How exactly does the treatment of the animal up to the point where it's slaughtered to end up as a youtube video cross a line?

It's raised to die, you can cry over the short time in between if you want. The simple truth is your life is sustained by the death of other life. Be it vegetable or animal, it was all alive until you came along and ate it.

  • oh plz stop tryin to win over the minds of the internet you friggin breast.....id love to try out some foie gr

  • do you think of the vegetables which their roots are cut by you human ? are they the same with this kind of liver ?

if you don't want to treat goose or duck this way, so dont you ever wish to live in this kind of world, just move out somewhere else like MARS or even PLUTO .

hell i care you haters of foie grass

  • i can't hear much .. noisy kitchen

  • @idler11 Gueese and ducks raised for foie gras aren't any different than any other animal we eat. When you fish, the fish has to die axphixiated while you take it to your house to cook it. Chicken houses are among the worst animal treaters in the world. Have you even seen a chicken house from inside? They grow so fast because of the hormones that their bones, and muscles don't develop as fast, and these chicks can't even walk more than a few steps without plopping down. Be rational.

  • @evimd get a life go eat some meat!

  • The romans weren't the first ones to raise geese for foie gras, it was actually the egyptians, there's an amazing book out called foie gras, a passion, highly recommended, it's also best to soak the foie gras in milk and honey overnight to remove any blood spots and any remaining bitterness...

  • This is the continuation of my previous comment.

I beleive you guys never watched the Movie "FOOD INC" to say that the meat that you buy off the supermarket is comming from a "wellcared" and "harmless" animal.

Go rent the movie, watch it then come back and comment on it.

I am a meat lover, I love foie gras and I am not afraid to eat any of those.

By the way, to all the haters, know that there are some farms that raise goose for foie gras that do NOT forcefeed, yes it is possible.

  • I absolutly LOVE people who's comments are in the range of "gooses are forcefed = animal cruelty" to "I do eat meat that is properly raised and well cared of..." First, did you guys know that the goose doesnt feel any harm of being forcefed? And that they die from natural death, in most of the acredited farms they are not slaughtered because the amount of fat in the liver kills it. They do NOT suffer.

Then shall we explore the "well cared" beef or chicken you guys eat everyday?

  • It tastes bad, I rather have a strawberry for what I care and treat the animal as badly as they do for what you get - no thanks!

  • it tastes good..thats all i care about...

  • That's an expensive cooking class, but well worth it. I love foie gras.
