Atwoli, Karua condemn corruption

Corruption charges dogging ODM leaders could jeopardize Prime Minister Raila Odinga's chances in the 2012 polls, COTU secretary general Francis Atwoli has warned. Atwoli says the move by ODM MP's to accuse KACC of witch hunt, was sending a wrong signal to the electorate on the party's ability to fight graft. He was speaking today during the burial of Rebecca Luvandwa Guserwa at Kapsoit village in Hamisi district. Gichugu Member of Parliament Martha Karua has also commended parliament for its growing clout in fighting graft; but adds that the coalition principals Mwai Kibaki and Raila Odinga are not doing enough on their bit.

I agree In Kenya Corruption is a religion. If you don' t engage in corruption then you really have no friends. During elections vested corruption networks join hands to openly dish out money in broad daylight to the wanjiku. The political class is steeped heavily in corruption that expecting it to lead the fight against is not only immoral but also illogical. I have to say that the corrupt are in control of the Kenya government and corruption is really a religion in Kenya.
