The Zenith Cobra Tonearm tracked at 18.5 grams or 2/3 of an ounce. It was made of bakelite & used a spring mounted cartridge (bakelite is a rigid type of plastic material). This was a major innovation in 1948. Most tonearms were made of heavy metal and used a nail or steel needle to track records. Records were made of harder material back then so heavy tracking didn't destroy them immediately. They lasted much longer with the Cobra tonearm. I'm a collector & have about 5 Cobramatics.

Nice sound, for a 78 rpm record.

They don't make 'em like they used to, juke boxes, music or people. I'm glad I found this, and happy to DL it and keep it on my hard drive to play over and over again.

Nice looking and nice sounding machine! Is it me or are the color cylinder motors both turning in the same direction?

@ccrunk1 Hi,
Thanks for the comment. The video quality is not too good. I used my old camera. The cylinders are turning in the opposite direction.

That is just absolutely beautiful. Watching that video made me feel like I had gone back in time. I nearly almost wept. That is a beautiful jukebox. You chose a great song to play on it also. Thanks for uploading that wonderful video.

Thank you for a wonderful comment. The juke is really fun to play and with the way the world is (right now) it's nice to go back in time and forget our troubles.
