Every year, Holocaust Memorial Day or Yom Hashoah, is commemorated in Israel with a moment of silence. At 10 am an air raid siren sounds and everyone stops. People get out of their cars, buses stop, and people stand at attention in memory of those lost in the Holocaust. It's a touching and poignant moment in a country known more for its boisterousness than for its introspection.

  • @jewliciousness Yeah, every video I've seen of Yom HaShoah it has lasted 2 minutes. XD

  • @adir999 Though it's not JUST Mulsims. That's very assuming. I know many a great Muslim. They've even shared their lunch when I've forgotten mine at work. There's disrespectful people in every religion AND non-religion. Don't just single out one religion.

the purpose of the memorial day and the siren is to remember the victims of terror.

when the siren sound every respectfull jewish or Israeli will stop all their doing in order to remember the victims together all of us.

its allso to remind us that in Israel we do things as a team and no one is alone we all one big entity (except those who dont have respect at all and its a shame)
