I love how some of the press reported this guy. They showed the guys AR and pistol BUT were VERY careful not to show that he was African American (a term I hate - hyphenated-Americans, but...). It gave the impression that all pro-gun people are stupid rednecks.

Don't reconsider on the grounds that you may or may not be a pussy. Firearms ownweship is a SERIOUS consideration for anyone! Guns are NOT toys, they are tools that are to be used in SELF-DEFENCE as well as hunting and sporting events. In the 40's, if the Jewish people had simply USED their weapons instead of handing them over, the atrocities would have never esclated to the level that they did. The 2nd Amendment was put in place so that tyranny NEVER happens here!!!

We're a constitutional republic, not a democracy. A democratic government is very unbalanced.

Again, what confuses me is why bring a gun to defend gun rights at a health care rally; you aren't helping your point by raising an irrelevant point. In fact, there has been no federal movement on the 2nd amendment AT ALL.

My Americans, conservatives and liberals, you are making us all look stupid. Argue relevant points and facts and change our health care. Not lies or nonexistent problems.

Oh, and actually, we're both being silly. Neither of us know what the founders would think; it's not like we can read the minds of dead people. And, while I do think guns should be legal (within reason), I'll just personally say that I find guns being carried around the President to be pretty disgusting. And yeah, I would have said the same thing regarding Bush.

The founders would have loved the guns we have now. They were avid hunters and firearms enthusiasts to a man. I think everyone's ideas should be heard. That said when the idea is rejected and a politician tries to lie and weasel his way around things he has those shouts coming to him. Our government has lied to us long enough, they have no credibility and people are understandably angry. The fact you actually care about grammar on an internet board says more about you than it does about me.
