  • George Greenough was a Jedi.

  • boards of canada

  • Thanks for reminding me Simon. Interesting to compare what was groundbreaking footage and view of the sport with today. The very idea of pros using an air mat for fun so no one gets hurt (!) compared with what is seen as present extremes at Mavericks, Jaws, and the insanity of Indonesian reef breaks makes this really uplifting to watch as it still shows the sport to be accessible and cool for anyone and everyone

  • I saw this Crystal Voyager with Echoes Music from Pink Floyd when it first appeared in the Cinema. Been looking for it ever since. hanks for putting it on here

    Hi,

Iam sure you will of found out by now,but you can by this on dvd - Backing music by Pink Floyd!

  • This is groundbreaking work by a genius. Modern surfing is based on this mans technique (these films don't show how radical he was at 10' Rincon). I saw George filming on a mat at Little Drakes in January 1970. Had the pleasure of talking with him on the beach when a big wave knocked the film off the camera reel and he had to come to shore. He explained how the equipment worked and it was a mind blower. "Innermost" had just came out. He looked exactly as in this film and had the CHP car etc.

  • #surfsup blew my young mind watching at the old Drake Cinema in Plymout in 1974
