only 3 chords, but 2 of my worst major chords to get to sound right--F and C...I'm a beginner and cant seem to get the fingers right on F especially.

Well standard tuning and the chords are just F C Am G, the thing that makes the song is the strum pattern. Up and down stroke on the quarter note and alternate lifting your finger off the G-string on the F and Am chords. You'll see when you play it. hope that helps

Well I took piano for many years and so music was in my background so things may be different for you, but I got a book of chords and learned the fingerings of the chords and then used tabs for the most part. Sometimes the note reading method can get you down and many people tend to quit soon after deciding to start because they wanna just rock out right away. Be patient and just love the music more than anything.
