@mybabba gene tore up a lot of songs...long time fan of the Genester..love him..been singing It Hurst to be in love since I was a kid..listen to his I'm gonna be Strong to hear him belt it out...and this one is a fav too.. I start my day listening to the lavish production of Every Breath you take....

I would rate the Smurfs as one of the top 3 pop vocalists, maybe Britney Spears, or Fabian as the other.

He was as great a songwriter as he was a singer.
He had a unique voice...you couldn't mistake it, but, like Elvis, he had wannabes....re: Mike Kogel...Los Bravos.
