  • Which they probably only pay to 2% of EMPLOYEES in the GVRD. My brother is one o them, and guess what his pay CHECKS READ.His bi weekly pay checks 2160 or 4320 buCKS per month..OooO soo DISGUSTING. Being in the top category o income earners, he would be living the bare minimum and just getting by in Van with savings of what 400 a month or 5K year in 10 he could save 50K to put as a dp on a suite..HAHA .   • Let's face it, much of Vancouver's real estate is directly driven by drug money. What's laughable is new luxury apartments being built on Fraser at 29th that will cost about $400 thousand. I mean, if you work in a service industry job, how are you going to afford it? Not likely. I live in White Rock and don't bother with Vancouver any more though I love the place and lived there for years. I'm not going to pony up for ridiculous parking fees to go for coffee.
