Storm Sea Kayaking - rolling and waves

A winter excursion from Tofino, BC. A decent 970mb low was passing the coast, so a friend and I took a quick paddle.

Did a few quick rolls for practice at the end.

Awesome video. Our lakes just froze over, so I must wait until spring. Thinking of buying a CD Storm GT (fits my budget). Any thoughts?

@pauls199 Hey Paul! Every boat is great, as long as it meets your needs! The CD Storm was one of the first boats I ever paddled,on courses and training. The Storm is a dependable, stable, rugged boat. It can satisfy the beginner to intermediate paddler. For a plastic boat, it boasts pretty decent storage for over-night trips. If you can find a 2nd-hand boat, it should maintain its re-sale value for several years. It is not a 'playful' boat, but it is not a 'pig' either...

Look relax and enjoying the ride nice video, I bought my first sea kayak last month June 20111, a CD sirocco, just finished 4 days on Bay Fundy had a blast need to go out more and try for the next many years to learn half of what you can do.. Awesome and inspiring from I'm 64...:)

Ive only had my kayak one and a half seasons.

Any time on the water is wonderful. Day, night, sun, wind, rain and waves.

Its never the same and that is part of the joy of paddling.

Great video and great Kayak! Thanks for posting. I am new to kayaking. Just purchased an Ocean Kayak Trident 13 Sit on Top. Here in South Florida. I love it. Hopefully next year I will purchase a sit inside like your Current Designs. Blessings-Anthony.
