The public beach at the end of the runway makes an ideal 'plane spotting' platform!

  • nice job. its also on my wish list. how do you get all the different cam views? is there a program? :) 5/5

  • Thanks.

The video is made with FS2004 which allows you to move the "Tower" camera around to any point you wish; also you can stipulate the altitude of the camera.

If you don't know how to move the tower camera around, just post back and I will send the details to your channel as YOU TUBE don't allow enough characters in this reply box.

  • @24MikeW04 oh i use fsx so i guess i can't do that then. but thanks anyways. i was just wondering because i would like to make my videos more interesting that way.

  • I tried sending this to your channel but did not work so will send it in smaller packets here.

No! Unfortunately you cannot move the tower camera in FSX like in FS9; thats why I use FS9 for making videos. Also, I found that making videos in FSX takes soooo long compared to FS9.

  • Here is one trick I learnt in FSX. Use the Trikes camera to film different angles. For example. Park the Trike in the middle of the runway facing oncoming landing traffic and use one of its cameras (one without any instruments or part of the Trike showing). This is one way of creating different angles. Of course you will have to use a pre recorded clip in FSX or film AI traffic landing. Make sure Crash detection is turned OFF in the sim though.

  • This is the method I used in this video, using FSX, to get the under wings shot of the three A225s taxiing.

You Tube wont allow me to post links. Go to vimeo and search for Mike Winwood, the video is titled Antonov AN225 Heavy lift.

Takes a few seconds to load after clicking to start the video.

    Mike
