Simone Bernstein - 2011 Energizer Keep Going Hall of Fame Finalist

As an active volunteer in her community since the age of 12, Simone Bernstein was frustrated with the lack of information and resources available for kids that wanted to make a positive impact on their communities. There was no local website or resource specifically geared towards youth and family volunteerism, so Simone decided to do something about it. She created stlouisvolunteen.com -- a simple and user-friendly resource for area youth, nonprofits and schools with the mission of spreading the spirit of volunteerism throughout the community. Since it began, more than 1,500 students have found volunteer opportunities through the website and volunteer fair.
