why would someone mess with Beethoven's cadenza - Beethoven's cadenza is the best cadenza ever written for Mozart, and only rivalled by the one in his 3rd
-
Such a beautiful cadenza! Amazing!
I love this performance and think that the famous "mimcks" just add to the overall performance.
You can see how he truly "feels" the music.
-
regardless what people say about his mimicks, Klansky obviously shows the phrases in his facial expressions, just like Bernstein used to teach that music tells a story, and Klansky shows it, and he doesn't give a rip. So stop your stupid comments and listen to this Maestro, and if you don't like what you see, close your eyes and shut up.

@fsgjafgja so does your comment.

@ProfMaximo The pianist is doing a great work..at least that is what I can easily see..And curiosly I see him happy and smiling almost all the piece, when you say he looks mad, he is concentrating a little bit more maybe. If you play piano, sometime you may understand why pianists make sometimes some different faces and you will notice that if you are mad, you'll hardly make a good performance or even can play the piano that way...

My favorite Mozart 20. Outstanding cadenza.
-
which cadenza is this?
-
Bravo. Mais dommage que les cadences ne soient pas celles de Beethoven. Les cadences jouées ne sonnent pas Mozart.
Merci quand même.

@alchavezb Everybody is excellent. And it is NOT A SONG!!!!!!

wonderful!
Great cadenza!
IMHO, the best I´ve seen!
(Is the pianist a bit mad? J/k, tho)

This is perhaps the most brilliant cadenza I've heard for K.466!! I like his style! This concerto was balanced, not too aggressive, but not lacking emotion or power. I would love to see what Klánský would do with 451, 482, 488, 492 & 503.
