Burnout 3 Online: Road Rage Fun (with mics) Feb 27th 2010

With Burnout 3 online being switched off by Microsoft (along with Xbox Live for all original xbox games and consoles) nights like this are strictly limited. So I've recorded some races for posterity and here are some highlights.

The racing/battling is always great but the chat is a huge part of why it's so good too. This could have been any random night of B3 since 2004.

A couple of interesting points - At 3:50 see my score doesn't go up 2000 points and I don't get a takedown, yet Max is eliminated. So he was eliminated by Chronic's Hot Rod on the Blue Team. (He was not damage critical either this was his 1st crash)
At 4:15 even though we crash at the same place, my car flys across the ravine and respawns over 0.2 miles ahead. Normally one car crashing lets the other gain 0.3 miles in 5 seconds, so this crash is almost a shortcut.
At 4:45 a Triple Takedown is extremely rare online. Max says he once got a Total Takedown which is a simultaneous takedown on all 5 other people. He's had a few 4-way Takedowns and many Triples thanks to the Modified Super and his mastery of it.
At 5:30 having backed off a takedown attempt to negotiate the tricky part, Chronic's crash up ahead causes a UPS delivery truck to hit the gas and essentially get a takedown on Bond who had come to a stop.
At 6:18 If the Blue Team is damage critical and crashes out then the elimination only happens after they respawn. So it's possible as a Blue to crash before the finish line while damage critical and have your wrecked car pushed over the finish line (by either team or a rogue UPS van etc) and still win. This has been the cause of the odd epic finale.

at 2:06, did something hit you somehow, or did you flip on your own from overspeed?

@svrgm Yeah, that was down to the speed, it can happen sometimes even just going 209mph but the overboosting speed makes it super unstable and you need a wall/barrier to help keep all 4 wheels on the ground. One thing of note: that garage entrance I crash into I like to think is the one where you get your cars displayed when you unlock them. I've always associated them like that :)
