played back at 35%,
Sony Vegas Studio Platinum 9 with film grain effects
Music by Adem
This was an experiment in editing between Adobe Premiere Elements 8 and Sony Vegas Movie Studio Platinum 9
-I liked Sony Vegas much more. Sony was much more intutive with adding videos, played preview back much more smoothly and in sync than Adobe did, didn't complain about memory issues (I wonder if Adobe had a leak), was easier for adding and editing transition and effects, and it had the same or more effects than Adobe did. Finally Sony didn't require you to sit through the "I'm going to load everything in the world in front of your eyes" splash screen that Adobe is so well known for; that adds such a delay when you are trying to get started quickly.

  • what file type did u render this in?

    i'm getting the hf200 tomorrow

and i wanted to know the best

    rendering file type for it

so i didn't have to test multiple

file types to find the right one.

  • WMV, but I kept the size at 320wide. you can get better at 640x480. I'm doing that for all youtube vids moving forward.

  • Nice does this have better quality than the HG21

  • Sorry, I'm not too sure. I don't have an HG21 to try out. :)

  • So this camera can't do slow motion capture in the camera. That sucks. Since you used film grain in this video it does nothing else but make the video look badly coded.

  • yeah, I think you're right about the grain causing noise. But again, this was compressed for web delivery, so I think that hurt a bit more than what you might see on a blueray disk.

  • Do you need Sony Vegas Studio Platinum 9 to make 60 fps?

  • Yeah, that film grain is not good.
