  • Beretta just did it again today i got a nice mallard and she took off, and took 5 mins to give the bird back and boy we were mad. LOl and we do all the training ourselves no pro trainer or vids just what we have learned from our experiences in the field and our outfitting.

  • Best fix for that is ignorance. Let him have a bird at the end of a hunt, if you dont mind letting him chew one up. When he goes off get in the truck and leave him, if he follows then turn around and return to the hunting spot. if he doesnt follow then he'll be waiting when you return.I did this once with my 6 month old, on our first hunt she wouldnt give. Never had a problem again.

  • wow lol giver a try this season if she does it again

  • Great name for the dog.. my dog , "Jake" does the same type of thing.. doesn't quite wanna turn that bird over to me sometimes!

  • ya she listens really good most of the time its just when she gets excited when she doesn't listen or she Breaks to early before we say "take Em" when the birds are just coming in to land LOL.

  • im sure your work it out

  • LOL... Jake did that exact thing just yesterday.. we were hunting, (tough too the birds were kinda wise to us.) I finally managed to turn a group and just when they are still out about 60 yards or so, Jake takes off!!... He can be a hammerhead sometimes! You train Beretta yourself? I trained Jake using the Waterdog DVD.
