The recent collaboration between Grootbos Private Nature Reserve and the Landmark foundation has resulted in the first ever footage confirming the presence of leopard in the Agulhas Plains. Grootbos would like to congratulate and commend the Landmark Foundation for their incredible work and contribution to conservation in South Africa. We are so proud to be a part of the project and feel blessed that within only four days of setting up the camera traps a healthy young male leopard was sighted. The question is what now? How do we continue this valuable research and protect the leopards of this unique region?
