When rotating objects, use Ctrl+M instead of manually spinning Objects. Via Ctrl+M, you can type in the amount of degrees said objects should rotate. Alternatively, you could use Ctrl+L to flip them horizontally / Ctrl+I to flip them vertically.
Furthermore, instead of using the Brush-Tool to create an entire new brush, you should clone the last brush you made and then morph it. This method is way faster then the one you used in this video.
