stanley thermos comparison.Well this is more like comparing apples to apples. They are both new. Both the same size and both cost roughly the same. The thermos by Nissan is clearly the winner but the Stanley is not so bad that I would argue against buying one. They are both made my the Chinese who love the u.s. So the buy American arguments is no longer there. Here's to hot coffee! Brad

  • buy a german WMF my friend!

  • @tiredlight thanks ! ill look into that brand.

  • Thanks, nice review. I'm sold on the Stanley because good customer service is rare these days.

  • @infidile i was really impressed and since i did this vid,i bought a smaller stanley to carry some hot soup to work with me.

  • I was happy to learn that Stanley was responsive to your original video. Also happy that you had a chance to use their new thermos free-of-charge just to do a second review. I learned quite a bit from you on thermos cooking, also on the comparison of the 2 thermos bottles. We have a very old Stanley, from the carpenter days of my husband's now deceased father. Still works like it always has. But I agree with your final assessment and for the few extra $, it's Nissan. Thanks BC!

  • @TheHomesteadGal hello homestead gal!ive really enjoyed exploring the possibilities of thermos cooking. it does have limitations but could serve to be handy in a couple of situations. limited fuel,or limited budget for fuel are two that come to mind right away.tonight im cooking a big stew in the stanley. i just got back from china mart with the ingredients.ill cook it late tonight and have stew in the morning.

  • Great review!

  • @bctruck Hey friend, you are looking for a real funny project? Maybe I have an idea: How about a solar thermic heat pipe for truckdriver? Just look for the words heat pipe here on YT, you will find tons of ideas. Adapt such an heat pipe approach or solar oven to your use case of 'nudels' :-) ?

  • bc truck your very intelligent and well spoken i hope you van come up with new things to cook

  • Thanks for this review! I was torn which one to buy for my hubby but now I know :)

  • Good review, is there a thermos out there that is made in the USA?
