Performed at the Eve of Voice 2009 at Howell High School's Fine and Performing Arts Center. The night is meant to be about voice instead of acting but with this peice, as you can tell, it's so hard to separate the two. Accompanied by Mrs. Regina McAllen. Thanks for watching!

  • Oh, and I forgot to comment on your gorgeous and controlled falsetto! This performance was very much worthy of the loud cheering!!

  • @Cheezluvr12 Thank you, so much! I'm actually auditioning for a season which includes Spring Awakening in a few weeks, so we shall see. This performance was almost four years ago, so I would love a chance to work on the material again!

  • I don't want to sound like a dick, but I just want to offer some performance criticism.

The bitterness of the song isn't coming across. Melchior sounds like a choir boy singing a pretty song, but in the song he is confronting his best friend's dad about driving him to his death. He is moving past the innocence of his childhood and reaching a state of cynicism resulting from realizing that adults don't really know everything.

Anyway, just a bit of criticism. Hope I didn't sound douchey.

  • @geeko523 I absolutely agree with you about what the song means in the context of the show. However, for a stand alone performance I don't think that would read well. This was also almost two years ago. I would absolutely love to revisit the piece now and see where I can take it. No worries, you don't sound douchey at all. It's a very valid criticism :)

  • This is absolutely amazing. You are a very fine performer. I am very pleased with this performance. You emote very well. And your voice is fabulous. Very good.

  • @broadwayboundguy thank you so much! :D

  • You did it justice. Good job man.

  • @geeko523 thank you for explaining that! if you wouldn't mind going to my channel and watching mine. cause i feel my performance was a little flat. but i just need some criticism. :)

  • beautiful arrangement, beautiful voice, amazing performance. you really should consider auditioning for a broadway show or two.

i was quite scared to listen to this at first, only because this is my favorite track from the album. amazingly, i do not regret listening to this.
