Wasn't the cream building in the video a library back in early 1970's?. I grew up in Largs until I came to Australia in late 1972. Have wonderful memories of many hours up in the hills and down on the beach. The sandy beach around near the pencil. hehehe. Part of my heart will always be for this wonderful town. Will be there again hopefully this year. Thanks for sharing but I hope the weather will be better for me.

The cream building is currently the RNLI lifeboat station. I don't remember it ever being a library. It's a fairly new building. For more Largs nostalgia Google:

This is like a tropical storm that's found it way over the Atlantic , very unusual indeed , at least it didn't deter you in going out and making a record of it. Fantastic!. Compare this with my video of Largs in Summer.

Your video shows the more tranquil side of Largs. We tend to get the remnants of the Gulf of Mexico hurricanes around September, so stand by for more action.

wow. guess i can leave the t-shirts and shorts at home then... so much for my mental image of a nice seaside town where i'll be able to run on the beach...
