We believe that there are fundamental laws and constructs that govern our universe such as Sacred Geometry, Universal Laws (i.e. Attraction, Intention, Allowance, Balance, etc) and various forms of esoteric knowledge.
The problem is that it is VERY difficult to determine which is a platform currently being used by the Devil, such as the secular movement that denounces the existence of GOD altogether, to bring people away from religion and faith. So even though EVERYTHING in the non-physical world including the Chakras and the Tree of Life, or Sepiroth, relate in some way to Sacred Geometry (so does our understanding of Trigonometry in mathematics and Physics), using this system to obtain power over the physical world, instead of turning to GOD, is quite dangerous.
So engaging in magic, channeling, the extra terrestrial agenda, the 2012 phenomenon, the Law of One, The Great White Lodge, the New Age agenda, etc. walks a very dangerous line as there is a distinct difference from knowing about something and attempting to use it.
It is not wrong to become very familiar with these agendas and subjects, yet delving into these platforms and actually practicing them, experimenting with them and placing them above GOD is something which we advise against. Even though certain ideas may be positive and are highly uplifting they can be used in ways they were not intended (i.e. Nuclear power), they can be a Trojan Horse and we simply do not know what's in that Trojan Horse.
We recognize however that the sovereignty of all people to control their own spiritual evolution is what GOD intended... this is why we were given Free Will.
We fully understand that some people must explore these things in order to come back to the same resting place, which is under GOD's protection. Thus MANY people must walk through their own tribulation and experience things for themselves (we did).
A Sovereign Christian believes in what is said in the Old Testament and ONLY in the books Matthew, Mark and John of the New Testament in the Judeo-Christian Bible. We believe that GOD laid out a path to follow in the Bible, exemplified by Jesus in his words and deeds, and GOD never gave people a map to navigate the realm of GOD. You cannot play GOD, because you are not capable.
Most importantly, we see alternative perspectives of GOD in many religions, but we believe that Jesus Christ walked a path to Heaven. We see no reason to ignore this path no matter how twisting the path may be and how uncomfortable it may seem; We know that path does lead to Heaven. There may be others, but we do not believe that we have the spiritual discernment to navigate those paths.
We do not just say this from some simplistic purist black and white perspective of GOD. We say this because we have walked these paths ourselves -gone through our own tribulation- and that our lives have been destroyed by doing so. Our lives have been destroyed by not just people but by very powerful spiritual entities who lied to us about having a great purpose. Many are being lied to now and are taking paths based on false instruction which is destroying their lives and the lives of others.
You can certainly walk these esoteric paths if you choose to, but we choose not to. The problem comes from the simple fact that man is not truly equipped to walk into this domain. When someone does this they walk away from the protection of GOD.
The view you need to adopt to traverse the battlefield and step into GOD's domain is to envision yourself as part of GOD with all of GOD's power at your disposal (depending on your state of spiritual evolution) and you are therefore HIGHLY vulnerable. Do you REALLY know WHO or WHAT you are talking to in the spiritual domain? Is the alien you are talking to a demon in disguise (not to say that there aren't aliens)? Are you READY to play in the domain of GOD and the DEVIL (or a class of spirits called denial spirits that feed off of compression and death which can enter you when you lie)?
Did you know that you can only bind demons and it is not possible to cast them out unless you call upon GOD? Do you know what happens when you DO succeed in calling on GOD to cast them out? It's like lighting a candle in the darkness and whatever is in that darkness then seeks you out.

- Do as thou wilt (in seeking learning though lifetimes), but apply "Universal Laws" and esoteric systems and advice you get from "friendly" entities to govern your behavior
see how EASY it is, regardless of your intentions, to endorse the core belief of Satanism?
We are no longer so arrogant and stupid to think that we have the level of spiritual discernment to draw the right lines to constrain our behaviors in the right ways and converse with the right entities to avoid descending into Satanism. It's too easy.
