Sorry guys Shoubo isn't a new for at all. It is actually along with Jiaoli the oldest chinese martial art in history. It is the combat style of Jiao li used by the haun duing the Yellow Imperor's Time.

Yes and no. Shou bo was a sport created recently by a French Chinese who wanted to keep Shuai jiao alive but incorporated punching and kicking of sanda. Because sanda uses boxing glove, the only difference is tha tshou bo uses open finger glove so more chinna and shuaijiao moves could be used. In essence its Shuai jiao + Sanshou.

Shuai Jiao means Wrestling in China. And this creates a big confusion, this is why it is difficult to develope Shuai Jiao in the world. Calling it "Shou Bo" is a way to keep Shuai Jiao alive...

The grappling techniques are no sharper than the Judo... even for a demonstration. Sorry... but Judo or Sambo seems easier and better than Shou Bo... thats a opinion from a kung fu practicioner!

hmm..come to think about it, i use a similar technique. I have a grappling and striking background. Mix these together and you get a similar style to this one. I taught something like this at my local gym, impressing some of the people watching. I defeated a few big guys in a friendly sparring match despite their greater advantage in strength and size. I'm 5'10 and weigh 165lbs. Its really annoying getting tossed to the ground every time you try to attack someone.

shoubo is new to many people, although i hardly think it is a new style. I have never heard of it, but i am certainly impressed.

The ignorance of some people who post videos like this and claim its a new "style" or whatever, what BS...Shou Bo is just a term used during the tang up to ming dynasty for the unarmed fighting/wrestling used in the military. nothing new here, just pretty much plain old Shuai Chuai/fast wrestling from china. I wish these idiot wouldnt post up false information like this so much.
