The bishop of Rome is INDEED the final authority on sacramental life in the Catholic Church. The church has no power whatever to confer Holy Orders on women any more than it can confer Baptism on a horse or make a cookie the Eucharist. Every person involved in this farce is instantly excommunicated anyway, and there is no "sect of the Vatican" whatever that means. A note: 70% of Catholics in Austria voted for Hitler.

Not Roman Catholic. RCC does not and never will ordain women. This would be heretical and they would be immediately excommunicated and any sacraments invalid and illicit. Please re-name your misleading title.

Romans 16 1 records Phoebe as a Deaconess of the Church. The word is Diakonos. Deacons were the servants, teachers and authority of the early Church. The three fold ministry of the Roman Church comes later in the history of Christianity. Romans 16 7 has Junia as "outstanding among the apostles." What is seen as apostolic, is really the faith of the Middle Ages.

The question remains, what is the authentic Catholic Faith? The Bishop of Rome is not the final authority on issues of valid sacramental life and faith. Other parts of the Universal Church have welcomed women into holy orders. Anglicans and Old Catholics in Europe and the United States are some examples. Catholiticity is contained IN the faith of the ENTIRE Church. Not in the decisions of one Bishop.

There is no valid ordination here and this is no 'sect of the Vatican.' The speaker here says "who has the right to tamper with God's call" yet he feels free to re-write the example of Jesus calling of 12 men apostles and the constant, unchanging practice of the Church ever since.
