Arctic conditions across Northern Ireland as seen from Ryanair flight FR9884 on 23rd December 2010 inound from Liverpool to City of Derry. Note pack ice in Lough Foyle and metres of snow on the Sperrin Mountains. As I landed at 1pm the mercury was already at -8c. Beautiful.

Hard to believe that only last year we had those freezing temps and this year it's 11 degrees.
