"Smells like @#$!," you say. Yes it does. It is very bad for your health if you inhale bone dust, as it has very sharp edges. It wouldn't be a bad idea to have a shop vacuum running to suck up any loose dust. I was sawing a nut to size tonight, and I took it outside.
Don't use a dremmel to make a nut thinner, you'll never be able to keep the sides parallel. Dremmels are GREAT for polishing up your frets, though.
