John and Larry discuss Larry's involvement with Hasbro in the creation of the original GI Joe comic book. Larry talks about how he turned a single character into a world of action and intrigue. He is awesome .. I'm reading the old Gi Joe comics ... amazing characters. Rather than just creating some "back stories" for a toy line, he created an amazing universe full of fantastic characters.

Excellent point by Larry @ 3:50. If you know the ending, then you (as a writer) may end up telegraphing who did it or what the end is ahead of time. But if you write by getting the Joes into a terrible situation and then think of a way out, the story is much more unpredictable which is key to it being of interest to the reader.
