When out fishing in Buzzards Bay we had an interesting catch. A striped bass with a sea lamprey attached. Let's hope we don't find this to be as previlent as they do in Lake Champlain or the Great Lakes.

  • For all you fish biologists, I meant the pelvic fin and not the pectoral fin.

  • I use a loomis 8/17 GL2 spinning rod with a Shimano Saragosa 4000 reel. The rods don't break and the reel is extra tough for busy charter work. It's a great combo for bass, blues, bonito, and albies. If I run into 30 plus pound bass I'll use a Loomis 10/20 GL2 with a Shimano Saragosa 5000. Tight lines and screaming drags my friend.
