As the rain begins to taper off, the first of the two train parade of southbounds, my old pal Q103, tears through Hardeeville. I usually see this train in the dark at Folkston, GA, so it was nice to catch him in the daylight for once. This is a pretty nice shooting location, although it is somewhat of a rough area, but there is a major road that crosses the tracks. There are a couple "Unsecured" Internet connections, so that was useful in checking the ATCS. Enjoy!

Cool! The reason that Q103 doesn't have a train may be that he's doesn't have any traffic from Charleston, and is picking up some cars in Savannah. I've seen him in Folkston before and was very short. Also, the engines may just be running to pick up Q104 in Jax, but you would think that Jax would have plenty of motive power that they wouldn't have to move engines down there. Thanks for watching!

Hey I live here.....sometimes 103 has no train at all...the engines will come by running light, wasting fuel!!!! I just don't understand????

Great catch!!! Excellent video too. ;-) It's always great to find a connection, especially when it's somewhere you don't expect to. *****

I don't usually get to see him unless I'm in Folkston, like I said in the description. I like to see Q174 too but the only thing I don't like is that he routinely runs with a pair of GEVO's.

Yea, sadly, Q103 is my pal too, I see him A LOT down here. But he is usually 20 cars, so he's not that cool. I like my other pal better, Q174.
