This guy came to my school and I asked him to play this song. He said that he named this song because his daughter was talking on the phone with one of her friends. Her friend said that she was lucky because his daughter got to go on tours with him and she said It's fun being lucky

From the liner notes: "When I was a kid, the record companies were really goodabout releasing tunes that were meant to evoke a certain carefree feeling for the summer (think of 'My Cherie Amour' by Stevie Wonder or 'Hot Fun In The Summertime' by Sly And The Family Stone). Despite being at the bottom of the emotional barrel a couple of years ago, I decided to lift my spirits by writing a summer tune. It's New Year's Eve here in T.O. and I just heard this great song for the very first time on JAZZfm.91 radio here in Toronto, Canada. Fantastic song! Also, I read the comment above that explains how Don came up with the name for this song. It's fun to know the "behind the scenes" of things!!! Thanks for posting this!!
