Theres only one recording to this song and thats on the cd, and he only wrote the first verse, all the rest of the song was pretty much freestlyed on the recording. He was reallyy drunk he said

first time i heard this song, i didn't have a clue what caleb was saying but it still got to me emotionally, its a powertful song.. i then watched an interview where he said when they were deciding on songs for the album and someone said, cold desert.. caleb was like wtf is cold desert, he listened to it and it was a track him and jared had messed around with, he was that drunk he didnt remember it, so when he listened to it back he cried because it was him talkin out these thoughts to himself
