35: Bad Choices

Nick POV

Ugh, just what I need. Joe waking me up the day he discovered some girl named Victoria and has claimed to be in love. You can't replace someone that fast can you? And you can't replace Mary with anyone

Nick: No... Get the crap off of me! *pushes Joe away*
Joe: *grabs Nicks arm* You have to get out of bed, into clothes and out of this house. I swear you're gonna die in here. You're already cursing! What's up with that?
Nick: You're just so pushy because you found a replacement for Sophia. NO ONE can replace the hole in my heart where Mary used to be.
Joe: Oh my Jonas... *rolls eyes*
Nick: THAT IS SO FREAKING ANNOYING! SHUT UP! SHUT UP NOW AND GET OUT OF MY ROOM! *pushes Joe out of the door and slams it in his face*
Joe: *from outside* Alright, it's your life, what do I care if it all goes down the drain in your stupid whining about YOUR mistake...?
Nick: SHUT UP!
Joe *sighs* Fine... I'll annoy you later.

As I sat back onto my bed I put my head in my hands. Joe was right. Again. I was going crazy. ((AN: *points to title*)) And I did have to get out of the house. So I got dressed for the first time in about a week or so and opened the door, expecting Joe or someone to be standing there. I let out a sigh of relief when I saw no one and glanced around to be sure, then sprinted down to Kevin's room to hear guitar inside. I think Kevin was even singing...

Kevin: Tell me what happened to the fire
Since when was a cold breeze taking over
Tell me what happened to the sun
Soon I fear we may not be lovers
((AN: I wrote that! :D))

I had raised my fist to knock, but I lowered it, realizing he must have been having troubles with Kate. Wow, I hadn't heard him sing so seriously in a long time. And so well. He must've been really troubled. Sighing, I walked downstairs. I needed to get out, and I was going to go somewhere with Kevin, but that plan had just gone into the trash can I sighed and opened the front door, deciding to go on a walk.

This was really my first time exploring the neighborhood. It was really quite amazing. Everyone took good care of their gardens. Before I knew it, I found myself in front of Mary's house. I stared at it a bit. Suddenly I saw a school bus coming, and I dove into a bush, knowing it was Mary. I saw her get off of the bus, and it broke my heart to notice she had been crying...

I longed to hold her tight, but she'd just run away from me. I watched closely as she waited for the bus to leave, and then stared down at her phone... I don't know why, but something clicked and I knew what she was doing. That was the phone where she took a picture of us kissing. She held it close and began to cry again, and my eyes widened. Maybe she missed me? I sighed, catching myself before I made any sound. After a few more seconds she kissed the phone and went inside. I slowly raised myself out of the foliage, not noticing I'd gotten pricked by a few thorns. Ow.

I brushed a few leaves off of my shoulder. This was in a way a great day; in another way it was horrible. Ugh. At least my birthday was the next day. Suddenly I felt a finger graze the back of my neck and turned around, upon instinct, ready to grab the persons hand. When I turned there was no threat I could see- just a reaaaally pretty girl.

Nick: H-hello...
???: Hey there... Nicholas Jerry Jonas, am I right?
Nick: Uh- er, yeah... Who-who are you?
???: Oh, how rude is that of me? My name is Addalyn Mae.

She was amazing, a similar figure to Mary but WAY more mature looking- curvier, that is. Her hair was a natural blond color cut short and wavy And her eyes were an amazing blend of colors. I shook my head slightly, trying to phase myself and remember Mary... I was still trying to get her back. {Remember to stay true. Mary's the only one for me.} But I couldn't help it, her voice was so smooth and amazing, every aspect was perfect.

Addalyn: *grins slyly* So, big star, huh? I've always found myself attracted to guys with lots of money... *lets her finger rest on his chest, drags it around him as she walks in a circle around him*
Nick: *shivers* Really?
Addalyn: Ohhh, yeahhh. They're always hunks like you.
Nick: *takes in a breath* So what are you doing Wednesday?
Addalyn: Nothing really... why? *winks*
Nick: I wouldn't mind taking you out for dinner.
Addalyn: I wouldn't mind coming.
Nick: What's your number, Addalyn?
Addalyn: Gimmie your phone.
Nick: *hands her his phone* And yours?
Addalyn: *gives her phone as she types her number into Nick's, gives it back*
Nick: *does the same* So I'll pick you up.
Addalyn: I'll be waiting. *blows a kiss*
Nick: *dazed as she walks away, shakes his head* What just happened?
