The Oversight and Government Reform Committee holds a hearing, "Darfur and the Olympics: A Call for International Action." Subcommittee Chairman John Tierney has invited classrooms across the country to watch the hearing. On Tuesday the House passed a resolution introduced by Rep. Barbara Lee calling on the government of the People's Republic of China to use its unique influence and economic leverage to stop genocide and violence in Darfur. • Great testimony. As a Chinese in America, I think our government should collaborate with other members in UN security Council to stop the tragedy in Darfur. And I think just pointing fingers will not solve the problem.

  • I definitely agree

  • gabrielc89, yourube does not allow posting links. so one trick to hide your dumbassishness is to try to google some reference before writing down anything in black and white.

  • Alright then!!

By the way... where did u get those informations?? WIKIPEDIA? AuhauHAUhaUAUhau!!!

I think you need more books and less TV!

you are so easy to manipulate!

  • therefore, these team Darfur guys, especially Mr. Cheek, are either dumb fucks, or plain liars.

  • 1. In 2003-2007, Sudan received 87% of its major conventional weapons from Russia, and only 8% from China.

    2. In 2006, 48% of Sudan exports went to Japan, 31% of Sudan export went to China.

    3. United Nations sent investigation to Darfur in 2005, and concluded that the Government of the Sudan has NOT pursued a policy of genocide.

    4. US is the only country in the world that labels the war in Darfur genocide.

  • We have musicians, sportsmen, etc who will always be involved in politics.Orgs, incl NGOs,and the UN(eg UNICEF with Audrey Hepburn, etc..) will need such powerful personalities to drive home the message - whether it is for the Famine in Africa; AIDS Awareness; Women's Rights; even against the WTO and IMF, the so-called bastions of the West.

We can't run away from the importance of personalities. If they can alert the World to astrocities and of countries that exploit, they have made a difference.

  • I agree that if there is any attrocity, these should be addressed and stopped. I also feel instead of Joey Cheek getting into international affairs, he should stick to his own country's problems first, then help others.

  • Wegu, "Japs" is racist to describe a Japanese person. You and your racist talk discount yourself in you negative views.

  • Joey Shit knows exactly why his visa is revoked. He is just trying to gain popularity on tv. Just think about all those people who have their visa denied going to the U.S. It is only fair that Americans get the same treatment going to other country.

  • LOL his chinese visa just got cancelled. china is such a wonderful world (notice how i don't say 'a country')
