@extrememetaldrummer1 Once you power up the device you have chosen to have the Internet on, this Netgear wi-fi device will then automatically communicate with your wireless router and then give your device the ability to connect to the Internet. I haven't personally seen the product or a demo on how it surfs the Internet in particular, but this is an extremely cheap alternative.
@RU2B12 In a nuthsell, this device is powered by a USB chord, instead of a power outlet. One end of the USB chord goes into the Netgear wireless device, the other end into a tv, xbox, wii, or blue ray player. You then repeat the same procedure with the Ethernet cable. So, ultimately you end up with two cables going into the Netgear wireless device and the very same ends of these cables going into your tv, xbox, wii, blue ray player. No software necessary to install.
