Fallout 3 - Getting General Jingwei's Uniform - Operation Anchorage

This tutorial is mainly for Xbox 360 but can be used for any system, PC, PS3 anything. Here is a written description of the tutorial.

Gary 23 Glitch (Part 1) - Before you start the Anchorage Simulation dont forget to do the Gary 23 Glitch. This can be done by picking the lock on the door near the simulation pod room. Pick up Gary's body and place it flat on the foot-rest of the simulation pod. The glitch can be done with any other body if you have broken the lock on the door. As you step into the pod and sit on the chair make your character look down at the body.

General Jingwei's Uniform Glitch (Part 2) - Once in the simulation complete the missions "The Guns of Anchorage", and Paving the Way. The Quartermaster can be killed and looted at any time, before or after Paving the Way, it really doesnt matter (Just make sure you have his combat armor). After "Paving the Way" is done begin "Operation: Anchorage". DO NOT, talk to Sgt. Montgomery, just let him sit at the camp while you go disable the pulse field. When you get inside the Chinese Compound, shoot Jingwei's Shocksword out of Jingwei's hand and pick it up. This also means you will receive an unlimited durability sword if you did the Gary 23 glitch right. Make Jingwei follow you and run over to the door. Face it in third person mode and toggle rotate (On Xbox you go into 3rd person and hold LB and use the right C stick to rotate). Rotate around until you see "Open door to Anchorage appear". Cripple Jingwei's legs and run over to the stone hut. (To make you faster I suggest you un-equip all your armor and weapons). When at the hut run around in circles, occasionally crouching, as soon as you see "caution" stay on the opposite side of the hut from Jingwei. When it says hidden SAVE. Jingwei will slowly make his way back to the compound. Keep a pretty good distance and do not come up from sneak mode. Stay in sneak mode just before you enter the compound. When you enter, for a brief 2 seconds, it will still say hidden allowing you to pickpocket Jingwei. Put 1 pair of winterized combat armor on him. Run back outside and do it again, this time when you enter the compound Jingwei should have the Chinese Jumpsuit (As it is labelled) on him, pickpocket it from him. To make his death a little quicker you may want to put a grenade on him. Once he is dead the simulation is over. after you finish talking with General Chase, the screen should turn white, then a loading screen will come up, hold down on the "Looking stick", (in the Xbox 360's case, the right analog stick) and rapidly tap A. This may take several tries so dont be discouraged if you dont get it the first time. It took me 14-15 times. When Gary's inventory appears put everything that you received from Operation Anchorage on him. Get out of the simulation pod and loot Gary's body for all your stuff! Everything from Operation Anchorage has unlimited durability (Meaning it never has to be repaired), with the exception of the Fat Man (If you pick pocketed one from a T51-b soldier). Have fun with your new armor!

HELP PLEASE: i want to know why i can't re-enter the simulation, i AM wearing the suit, but the game tells me I DONT !

You can only do the simulation once, if you already did it you have to start a new game to re-do it. Sorry.

:P Thanks, the suitcases really dont mean THAT much in the end. Just gives you a few small bonus's. But I was going for a 100% completion of the game, 100 in every skill, 10 in each Special, every unique weapon, and armor. And as many perks as I could get. Unless you wanna be like that, the suitcases arent essential :]

how do you get the mini gun from the t51b every time i try to pick em they start unloading on my ass

Some weapons like the minigun, fatman, etc cannot be pocketed from the t51b soldiers. They just start attacking you

I'm going to try this when I make a melee character. It's like Lo Wang with the Ninja skill. ;)

Currently doing Unarmed + Energy weapons tags and it's a... pain! But once you get the ammo and power gloves, it's sweet to pound away at Super Mutant Brutes on Very Hard difficulty using no ammo! Big Guns is a good tag for that, heh?

I'll probably go melee+explosives for 2 of the tags if I do this exploit.

In the mothership Zeta DLC there is one part where you have have multiple test tubes filled with raiders and ghouls,there is a room you can enter with a button to open all the tubes(dw the ghouls and raiders will fight each other then they'll come after you) in this room you can override a door switch(do this) and you'll enter a small room with a red chinese winter hat(sickle and hammer sign on it) and some ammo + space crystals ,Good hunting ;)

I just did this and can confirm that it's possible to bring the Chinese Commando Hat out of the simulation. It's not the same as Jingwei's (it's the winterized one the regular Chinese soldiers have in the simulation), but it IS a non-degrading piece of Chinese military headgear.

The stats are nothing to brag about (1 DR and +1 PER), but again, it's better than nothing.

You won't get the hat he's wearing, but you CAN get a non-degradable Chinese Commando Hat from the simulation. When you're heading to the Chimera Depot at the start of Paving the Way, look around some sandbags very close to where you started. - The hat is sitting on top of some of them.

i got the chinese hat from mothership zeta and a suit from some chinese ghouls,running around with a chinese assault rifle and pistol xD

A small tip for everyone, for those with low sneak level, cripple JIngwei's head with a weapon that wont kill him too quickly, (a 10mm for example) and this will allow you to become hidden from him more easily. Then ofcourse cripple one of his legs.
