Fire in Parnitha - airplane view 2

More than 25.000.000 square meters (probably far more!) of almost virgin nature and biodiversity are burned for ever. This smoke cloud is the "...protected" National Wild Life Park of Parnitha in Greece, all it's inhabitants, the big and small animals, plants and flowers, many of them already rare and endangered. This dirty ash is our moments of joy in this almost virgin wild life, our walks, rides and games and memories of a fir (most) and pine forest mountain that survived wars, summer storms and heatwaves and evolved for hundreds of years, only to be devastated in few hours. And it did because of our abandonment, ignorance, indifference and real estate interests... NTROPH
