  • Heh. By achievements Karpov is the second greatest player of all time, a ice-cold machine. Im sure even the "God of the gods" Fischer would have had his hands full with him.

  • karpov is the best and he is best than fisher karpov is a legend

  • @6anatolyy4 Fischer blundered against Spassky in the world championships and almost lost

  • @rusia0071 Fischer would have smashed him like he did Spassky

  • Kasparov has created a myth over the years, he was a dangerous subversive who the Soviets hated and wanted to stop from challenging for the title. That is bullshit. Kasparov did what he was told and got all the support and help he needed. He was not someone the Soviets hated, Korchnoi is an example of that. His family harassed constantly and he himself defected. Did Kasparov defect? Was his family affected? No! He took full advantage of the resources of the Soviet chess school!

  • i think Fisher was a Genie!

  • I like Karpov. But his hair looks greasy. Plus all the political factors make it easier to support Kasparov.

  • you can't even tell who's resigning among the pros when they shake hands.lol

    "I didn't resign, he did."

  • In his younger years Karpov definitely was one of the most handsome chess players of all time. No homo.

  • I am getting the impression that Karpov might have been better than Kasparov If they would have been same age Karpov was 11 years older

  • · Many Champions won this way, i.e. Lasker -Schelchter for instance. In my humble opinion, Fischer, Karpov and Kasparov, are the greatest players of modern times, and Capablanca, Lasker,Alekhine, Botvinnik, and Morphy, the greatest of past players that have ever lived. Among the also rans, I would include Pillsbury, Steinitz Keres,Tarrasch, Spassky, and Tal as the best of the rest.
