Students for the Exploration and Development of Space (SEDS) present a lecture by Anousheh Ansari, the first female private citizen to travel to the International Space Station.
On September 18, 2006, a few days after her 40th birthday, Ansari became the first female private space explorer and first Iranian in space. Ansari is the fourth self-funded space tourist to fly to the International Space Station. The Ansari family was the title sponsor for the Ansari X -Prize, won in 2004 by entrepreneur Burt Rutan of Scaled Composites. This will be a memorable night to find out what it is like to be in space and travel aboard the International Space Station as a Spaceflight Participant.
