Performed live for the first time, at Bethany Baptist Church on 7/24/11. The audio isn't fantastic, but you get the idea.
Lyrics:
I can't walk on water or divide the sea -- feeding a multitude is out of my league
I've never healed the sick, or turned water into wine -- But I have a perfect God, who promised I'll be fine
Miracle in progress, that's what I want to be -- Every day a little more like God wants me to be
Jesus came & died for us, so we could be made new -- I know this to be true, & I'm a miracle in progress
When life seems to make no sense, I cry to you -- Because you've promised, that what I don't know, you do
When I stumble and I fall short of the mark -- You lift me to my feet, and guide me through the dark
Miracle in progress, I'm changing every day -- And one day I'll be like Him, perfect in every way
God himself is molding me from a useless piece of clay -- That's why I say, that I'm a miracle in progress
Sometimes change is painful, but it's worth it in the end
'Cause there's a God in heaven, and he wants to be our friend
Miracle in progress, Jesus freed me from my sin -- And he will free you from yours too, if you will let Him in
Jesus came and died for us, so we could be made new -- I know this to be true, 'cause I'm a miracle in progress
I know this to be true, 'cause I'm a miracle in progress
I know this to be true, 'cause I'm a miracle in progress
How are we a miracle in progress according to the Bible? Clay isn't useless. I liked the line, "Sometimes change is painful." Not all changes are worth it in the end though.
