Lily's POV

The next day, I woke up at Mick's house. Walking around the guest bedroom, I gathered all of my suitcases together and changed into the clothes I'd laid out the night before, my favorite black skinny Sevens and crème v-neck sweater. I walked around the room, making sure I hadn't forgot anything. I sighed, looking at my bleeping phone. Going home after this whole summer was gonna be tough. So many things had happened. Mick got to go on tour, Alex finally had fans,-I couldnt make fun of him for being just some lame garage band anymore-Nick found his First Love, Kevin was engaged, Joe was... still Joe. And I loved him for it every second of everyday. Believe it or not, the only Jonas I absolutely could not STAND had become the object of my undivided affection. And though I'd never tell him, he was the living epitome of the perfect boyfriend. I know how corny it sounds but it's the truth. I used to think Kevin would be the perfect boyfriend. He was nice and sweet and thoughtful. Then I'd thought Nick would be the perfect boyfriend, but we all saw how that turned out. Never once did I think Joe would be the good guy. The perfect fit.
"Lily, your ride's here!" Mrs. Celinas called from down the stairs. I sighed and flicked the light off in the guest bedroom. Walking down the stairs I met Mr. and Mrs. Celinas. They both hugged me tightly and wished me good luck this school year. After they waved me off, I stepped outside and walked down the stone pathway to the driveway where Joe was waiting in a big black SUV, his Ray Bans perched on his nose and his wavy black hair windblown. He got out and took two of my suitcases from me, leaving me with only my toiletry bag and duffel. I put them in the trunk and he slammed it, giving me a toothy grin as we both got in the car.
"How's my girl doing today?" he asked, my heart leaped.
"Fine." I mumbled, sliding my sunglasses on my nose, although it was raining out.
"You don't sound fine." he noted, pulling out of the cul-de-sac and onto the main road. I watched as a Super Fresh, elementary school, and playground all blurred passed us out the window.
I looked over at him. He pulled the front of his Dodgers hat down lower, so that it grazed his eyes. "It's just, going home, it sucks."
He smiled and kept his focus on the interstate approaching in front of him, "Then don't go."
"Joe, I can't just not go home. I have school." I argued, awe-struck at what he had suggested.
"I thought you said you were thinking about taking that pre-graduate test so that you could graduate early."
I shook my head, "Yeah. But even if I did, its not like I could just come down here and be with you all the time. Thatd be crazy. Even if I passed the test, Id have to start looking into colleges. And if I did come down here, Id have nowhere to stay." I insisted.
"Thats where youre wrong. I talked to my parents about it. They said if you get the okay from your parents, you could stay in our guest house until you get things figured out or whatever."
My ears seemed to be clogged with cotton balls. Was he being serious? He seriously wanted me to graduate early and come stay with him? Maybe even go to a college in California or even better, Texas? That was ridiculous. So ridiculous that I could feel myself being convinced of it. Itd be so different, to be somewhere other than New York. Not that I didnt love New York, but LA had such a calm serene feel. Not always busy. Not always overwhelming. It was relaxing. Maybe Joe was right. Maybe I should ask.
"I don't know, Joe. I dont really think my parents would go for something like this." I persisted, wanting to stay now more than ever.
"Oh come on, they let you travel the country with Mick and me and my brothers all summer. Why wouldnt they let you stay with us and look into some different schools or something?" he asked dubiously.

"I don't know, Joe." I sighed, looking out the window again. He shrugged and began head banging to the Kings of Leon song that was on the radio.
Id thought it over the whole ride to the airport and by the time we got there I knew exactly what I wanted.
"Joe, what're you doing today?" I asked casually.
"Nothing. Why?" he answered nonchalantly.
"Mind flying to New York for a few hours?"
He grinned wide at me and nodded excitedly, pulling me by the hand over to the information desk. After buying his ticket, we soon boarded the plane. Before they announced to shut off all cell phones, I called my house number and left a blunt message;

"Hi, it's Lily. Im on my way home now. And I brought a friend. See you soon. Bye."

This was gonna be a long day.

This was just something to post because I felt guilty for not posting in so long. Plus, it would be kinda strange to just tell you that Lily moved in with the Jonas's in some random chapter. It had to happen SOMEHOW right? Yeah. So there it is. Season finale coming EXTREMELY soon.
