He definitely was (is) a legend.The win against Leeds was special, although the first game was better.Against all expectation City battered Leeds for 90 minutes and it was Leeds who were hanging on. Bill Shankly gave City no chance in the replay.He (Shankly) was gracious enough to offer his congratulations, Donnie Gillies gave him short shrift acording to the Evening Post -wonder what he actually said?
