Adamant mooring up with President and Kildare at Stoke Bruerne on the Grand Union canal in Northamptonshire on a perfect summers evening in 2005. www.tunneltug.co.uk
I would agree that President is the only remaining FMC steamer to have been returned to steam, but President is not the earliest steam narrowboat, for example FMC No 64 "Baron" was first registered on 23/12/1898, No 156 "Monarch" 25/04/1908, No 183 "Vulacn" 27/11/1908 and "Dart" was first registered 30/10/1876, "President" No 195 was first registered on 23/06/1909 which makes her one of the last to be built.
