  • which one is better , EF-S 10-22mm or this lens ? (for taking wide angle pictures)

  • @11kevoo If you're using a body with an APS-C sensor, then every lens is effectively multiplied by 1.6x. That means the 17-40mm suddenly isn't very wide anymore, but the 10-22mm still is. So for ultra wide on a 'cropped' body, always go for the 10-22mm.

  • ok im confused. if the EF lens is equivalent to 17mmx1.6 then shouldn't it be more zoomed in than a EFS 18mm?

  • @jcc2150 ALL lenses are multipled by 1.6x on this and other Canon APS-C models, whether the lens is EF or EF-S. All of them! So 17mm is still a fraction wider than 18mm.

  • WEATHER RESISTANT! WEATHER RESISTANT! I CANT BELIEVE YOU DID NOT MENTION THAT! THUMBS DOWN! BOOOOOOOO

  • @THEHAMM3T Did you read the review that goes with it at cameralabs . com? There I said "highly resistant to dust and moisture." These videos here are just short overviews - they are NOT my full reviews.

  • Is it heavy?

  • @jcc2150 Depends on the sensor size homie. lenses are measured in respect to a 35 mm sensor.

  • @jcc2150 wait nevermind saw the comment above :P

  • @M1sterHamilton Because the 18mm is actually 28.8mm.
