3.3.10 Same-sex marriage is legal in Washington, D.C. The people in this video did NOT prevail.

Just like their oppressors -- white Christians who used the Bible, "natural law", and religious arguments to justify discrimination against blacks -- these black Christians are using the same sorts of arguments to justify discrimination against homosexuals in the name of their god.

@RayL1983 That gay people cannot have children is actually questionable. I've heard that some experiments (but haven't checked the literature myself) have been done to create embryos from two sperm cells. The problem seems to have been wrong epigenetic programming. But we are making huge advances in reprogramming cells recently so maybe in the not too distant future embryos derived from two males will become a reality.

The reality is that some people are homosexuals. No one is forcing anything on anyone. Peolpe who want to make judgements about such people are constently forcing there beliefs onto and treating us accordingly you would'nt stand for such treatment.

@emomagica No is forcing gay marriage on anyone. NO ONE is forcing you to marry anyone. The issue here is that YOU DO NOT GET TO DECIDE how other people can live their life. Not for religious, or ideological, or any other reason.
So far as a person's behavior does not negatively affect anyone around them, there is no justification for banning that behavior. To do so is bigoted and wrong.
Furthermore, gay marriage will not and cannot negatively affect anyone. Gay marriage does nothing to you.

@emomagica "I'm not making a moral judgment."
You're not?! Certainly shounds like one.
As for "the guy...on WAOK," you didn't ask me if I was he. You merely declared, "You sound like the guy that was on WAOK a few weeks ago." I don't know what WAOK is. I presume it's a radio or TV station where you like. And, no, I have not appeared on anything called WAOK.

Particularly deeply religious and uneducated African-Americans (which go hand-in-hand) are an (unconsciously) self-loathing group. To them, being gay is just below being black, so there's an opportunity for them to slight homosexuals/homosexuality, and feel better about themselves. There's an emotional and psychological payoff -- which is that they get to be "right" and "superior" to another group, which is common among minorities. It's textbook.

As a gay person I understand why you've made this video, but its basic counter-argument that interracial relationships and miscegenation has worked and has been some great achievement is still debatable. There are still serious interracial issues. Gay people can not have children biologically. That is the fact. It is impossible. These people are extremists. However, that people do bring people into a world of suffering is not necessarily divine.

@RayL1983 I'm afraid I don't understand the point you're trying to make.

It annoys me to no end how Christians act like we are doing to them, what they do to us. Like they have a "right" to oppress us and we are bad for taking it away

@Frizzurd Totally agree. Thanks for your comment.
