Try my method, Canadian crappie king. it is quicker and utilizes all the flesh around the rib cage.

Great job separating the meat from the skin. Most people do very poorly and leave a lot of meat. Great video and nice fish!

@spraguedave not when your cleaning a crappie or bluegill. Ive been doing this for along time and was taught by a pro.

@chinaman2002 Dude I dont need any steel! I have it like that so when i fillet the meat off the skin it doesnt cut through the skin. And I recently got a Buck fillet knife. Its alot sharper.

very nice and easy method. Probably the easiest one I ever seen by golly! How do you prepare the fillet? I somtimes soak it in white vinegar over night then add my seasoning and batter it and fry it up. Oh by the way if you don't know already white vinegar will kill the fishy taste alot of the little ones do not like strong fishy taste that is why I use white vinegar.

I make my own batter consisting of flour, cornmeal and other spices to make it delicious. I then deep fry it. yummy. I catch crappie and catfish and bluegill all spring and bout May June i have a big fish fry and feed lots of people. Every year friends keep askin, "whens the fish fry?" lol
